
Research Scientist
Kjorte is a research scientist at WGU Labs, where she develops and applies statistical and psychometric methods to support innovative learning and assessment design. Her work focuses on using advanced quantitative approaches to better understand learner outcomes and improve measurement in real-world educational settings. Prior to joining Labs, she specialized in research methods for large-scale assessment and social sciences, with particular expertise in Bayesian methods. Kjorte earned her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a focus on Quantitative Methods and a minor in Statistics. Outside of work, she enjoys reading novels and long walks in nature.
