Prior to joining WGU Labs, Rajan spent over six years at Clinc, Inc, most recently as an Engineering Manager, where he spearheaded the technology roadmap for a Conversational AI platform processing 51M+ annual queries across Tier-1 banking clients. He architected a Compound AI system blending deterministic NLP with Retrieval-Augmented Generation and LLMs, and led Agentic AI experiments for multi-step workflow automation in regulated environments. He brings 8 years of experience across Conversational AI, RAG, intelligent document processing, and backend development.

Rajan earned an M.S. in Business Analytics and Project Management from the University of Connecticut and a B.Tech. in Information and Communication Technology from Ahmedabad University. His professional interests include applied AI, agentic systems, and translating emerging research into reliable, production-grade software.
