Youngki Hong

Senior Research Scientist

Youngki Hong is a Senior Research Scientist at WGU Labs. He uses computational modeling, machine learning, and large language models to gain insights from complex data, aiming to support learning and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. Before joining Labs, Youngki earned his Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University. His academic research examined cognitive and neural mechanisms of social face perception. Outside of work, Youngki enjoys video games, sports, and walks in the parks of New York City.
