Jess Stokes

Jess leads the product team at WGU Labs, overseeing learning experience design, content development, and engineering. Jess has more than 12 years in education technology and previously managed the Technology Strategy team for Pearson Consulting Services. Engagements included learning-platform strategy, content management, process improvement, and technology implementations. Prior to joining Pearson, Jess worked for the University of Utah where she led IT service management, content management, student portal, and emergency notification initiatives. As a senior design consultant for Allen Communication Learning Services, Jess conceived creative eLearning, blended, and instructor-led programs for diverse learners. She has taught university courses in web development and multimedia law. Jess earned a Master’s Degree in instructional design from Utah State University and completed post-graduate coursework in demography from University of Utah. Away from the office, you’ll find Jess communing with nature.
